Front Office / Surgery Scheduler
Forest Hills, PA

Private practice Eye surgeon is seeking a Front Office / Surgical Scheduler to join their team in Forest Hills Pennsylvania.

The Opportunity

The right candidate will be committed to growing the practice while establishing high quality patient care. This opportunity offers a full time, schedule 5 days a week in an office setting.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Answering the phone and scheduling patient office visits
• Checking patients in and out for their office visit
• Helping with surgery scheduling, including verifying patients' insurance
• Completing reservation forms for hospitals; complete and deliver physician orders for upcoming procedures; track medical clearances; obtain all billing information.
• Obtaining authorizations for patient imaging and surgical clearances
• Performing general office tasks and other reasonable duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Computer experience and keyboard skills.
