Summary:

We are seeking a software engineer to join our Enterprise AI Platforms and Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have industry-relevant experience deploying scalable cloud infrastructure using languages like Python and SQL. You will be part of a collaborative team of multidisciplinary engineers and have the chance to create tools that will advance emergency dispatch services for millions across the globe.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain machine learning solutions using cloud services and infrastructure (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud)
• Develop and optimize services for automatic speech recognition, text embedding
• Collaborate with other Software Developers across the company to understand their challenges and work with them to enable application development
• Collaborate as part of a hard-working, continuously improving agile team
• Learning development environments, platforms, and tooling (Clarify)
• Work closely and collaboratively with internal governance and compliance functions such as Cyber Security and Data Privacy to secure our estate without obstructing end-user productivity
• Adapt standard machine learning methods to better exploit modern parallel environments (e.g. distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPU)
• Champion a “production first mindset” to ensure the necessary infrastructure and platforms are available to scale exploratory research to production
• Integrate GPT (General –Purpose Language Models) API into existing systems and applications
• Optimize models’ performance at runtime
• Understand the AI lifecycle and the development of AI solutions
• Implement and optimize speech-related technologies, including speech tone analysis and text-to-speech applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate speech technologies seamlessly into existing products and services

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science field required, Masters preferred
• Experience working with Azure and Google cloud infrastructure
• Proficient with Python, C#, and SQL languages
• Proficiency working with Kubernetes and container-based applications
• 5 –7 year's experience building and delivering software using the Python programming language with familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
• Experience using Linux command line and creating web servers
• 5 plus year's experience working in an Agile team
• Experience working with internal security standards and frameworks
• Proficiency in leveraging DevOps to enable automation strategies

• Concentrating for long periods of time
• Sitting for long periods of time with occasional moving, standing, and walking
