Reporting to the Corporate Director of Human Resources, the Benefits Administrator will work on multiple projects to assist with meeting the scope and objectives for supporting the PCI Federal Services and affiliated LLC’s Benefits and HR needs. Primary duties include overseeing and coordinating day-to-day operations of employee group benefits plans, inclusive of strong employee relations and customer service support as an HR professional. This position is a “hands-on” position and is integral in developing an HR Benefits Department to support employees, managers, and overall organizational needs. The position is located at our Huntsville, AL corporate work site. Travel is necessary in town, in state, and to other PCIFS locations as needed.

  • Coordinates all employee health and leave benefits; assists with Human Resource department programs including employee policies, and onboarding procedures, engagement initiatives and other employee-related matters
  • Will take the lead for benefits information and coordination for employee questions and needs
  • Effectively communicates with employees, resolves benefit-related issues, and collaborates with other departments and external vendors
  • Advises and informs employees of the details of the company benefit programs; manages annual open enrollment and employee benefits onboarding needs
  • Maintains and creates records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state and provider regulation
  • May assist with daily HR support needs and administration tasks as assigned
  • Other duties and projects as may be needed/assigned
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least 4 years of experience working in a benefits administrator/leadership role
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of different benefit plans
  • Extensive capabilities and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of product
  • Experience working with Del Tek HR/Accounting systems is strongly preferred
  • Must have hands-on experience with HR Software
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing and implementing projects, programs, and meetings to support the high-level goals of the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting competing deadlines
  • Experience working directly with legal documentation and high-level correspondence needs
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS *

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer. To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
