About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our company as a Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading projects that deliver new systems, services, and products to the business or its customers. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and execute critical projects that contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery for new systems, services, or products, ensuring adherence to project timelines, scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Develop project plans, including defining project objectives, gathering requirements, identifying project deliverables, creating work breakdown structures, and establishing project milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, marketing, regulatory affairs, and operations, to ensure seamless project coordination and timely execution.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to project team members, providing clear direction and guidance to ensure successful project completion.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate project updates to stakeholders, keeping them informed of project milestones, risks, and issues.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, making necessary adjustments to project plans and resources to ensure project success.
- Foster relationships with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors, to facilitate project-related activities and drive collaboration.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the project team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment conducive to high performance and achievement of project goals.
- Continuously monitor project performance and budget, evaluating project outcomes against established metrics, and implement process improvements as required.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to medical device development and project management, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in project execution.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business administration) is required. A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the medical device industry, leading projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and processes, with a track record of successful project delivery. Agile experience preferred.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, ensure timely delivery, and manage competing project priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- High level of adaptability, resilience, and flexibility in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
- Located within - or willing to relocate to – Durham, NC
