We are seeking an experienced Electrical/Construction Project Manager to join our team. As the Assistant to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspect of the projects from start to finish. This includes coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project completion. Job Scope and Responsibilities:
This job may require you to work at job sites in the NY (Staten Island, Brooklyn, etc.) The main office is located in Monmouth County, New Jersey, which you are also required to sometimes be in this office. We offer a competitive salary based on your experience with paid holidays and vacation time.
Duties Include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of electrical projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting and change orders.
- Produce estimates for electrical jobs, lighting, and all different electrical voltage systems in commercial and industrial projects. Experience with larger multimillion dollar projects preferred.
- Must be able to provide support to field operations regarding electrical estimates.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and develop project plans
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment needed for each project
- Manage project timelines and ensure projects are completed on schedule
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays that arise
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams as needed
- Prepare and present project status reports to clients and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in related field
- Proven experience in electrical project management, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency in project management software such as Con-est, Intellibid, Blue Beam, Sure Count and Microsoft Office
- 4 years experience in Project Management, preferable in Public works.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
