General Role and Function:

Maintains the office building and grounds in a clean and orderly condition to include cleaning the parking area and patio area, sweeping and mopping all floor surfaces, cleaning all restrooms and restock products as needed, clean windows, tables, counters, and other surface areas, perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, as necessary. This position is responsible to the Facilities Manager.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, scrub and vacuum all hallways, bathrooms, driver loading area and other office spaces. Performs routine checks on the bathroom cleanliness and maintains the necessary supplies.
• Works with the Grace Place staff to ensure that the client areas are always clean and well-presented. 
• Attends to any maintenance or cleaning emergency for the area.
• Empty all trash containers and garbage cans daily.
• Maintain the building by performing minor repairs, routing painting, plumbing and electrical maintenance, and any other related maintenance activities.
• Maintains the grounds by picking up trash and organizing outside storage areas and patios.
• Reports any major repair needs to the COO so that large repairs can be scheduled and completed.
• Sometimes drives own or company vehicle to deliver or pick up maintenance or repair items needed.
• Verifies that the building is locked and secure at closing each evening.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read, write and communicate instructions in English, effectively is required.
• Some prior light maintenance or janitorial experience is preferred. 
• Must have reliable, personal vehicle and a valid Driver’s License, good driving record, and applicable insurance coverage required by the company policy
• Team Player with the ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to ascend/descend a ladder and lift arms over head to service lights or other equipment.
• Able to move about and re-position yourself to provide maintenance under desks, sinks, and other smaller spaces.
• Able to work with small parts such as nails, screws, and bolts during any light maintenance project.
• This position will have exposure to varying temperatures and the elements while performing work outside of the building. Temperatures may range from extreme heat to cold and wet depending on the weather conditions.
• Able to occasionally lift-up to fifty (50) pounds.
