Mead & Hunt has an exceptional opportunity for highly motivated construction inspectors for WVDOH projects in the eastern panhandle area of West Virginia.
An Entry-Level Construction Inspector will be responsible for providing inspection services for transportation related construction projects. They ensure all work and materials used are in compliance with the proposal, plans, and specifications. They may perform required calculations, take measurements, and verify weights and volumes as needed. They may plot and run cross sections and prepare "as builds" during progress of the project. They may perform materials testing. They will document inspected work daily.
This position requires heavy lifting, working outside in a variety of conditions on a regular basis, and ability to perform work independently. Travel to construction sites throughout the state is an essential function of this position; a valid driver’s license is required. Extended hours and overnight stays may be required.
