Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an experienced Electrical Engineer.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: designing low- and medium-voltage power systems, lighting and associated control systems, and fire alarm and mass notification systems; preparing plans and specifications for bidding and construction; performing periodic construction site visits; mentoring less experienced staff; and assisting with business development activities. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess all of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or architectural engineering with an electrical emphasis
• At least four years of relevant experience
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• Experience with electrical design of buildings including low- and medium-voltage power distribution, lighting and controls, fire alarm and mass notification systems.
• Experience with 3D building modeling (Revit preferred); experience with lighting design software (AGI32 preferred), power design software (SKM Power Tools and/or EasyPower preferred).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Ability to prepare construction documents.
• Experience coordinating engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of codes, statutes, and laws related to building design and construction.
