Job Details

- Duration of the Contract: Until 6/30/24 with extensions likely.
- Onsite or Remote? Candidates MUST be WI residents. Fully remote within the State of Wisconsin.
- Will close to submissions on 5/2/24 at 4:00PM CST.
- Target Start Date: May 2025
- Participate in complex IT projects to implement and maintain enterprise security infrastructure and agency specific business mainframe application systems
- Provide advanced technical security support for enterprise mainframe infrastructure systems including hardware, software, and services.
- Provide security infrastructure consulting support
- Maintain and upgrade installed mainframe enterprise security hardware, operating system and storage software, and systems software packages on an ongoing basis to remain at recommended release levels and to resolve problems in order to maintain system stability
- Provide oversight and direction to vendors providing mainframe security hardware and software management and other infrastructure services to ensure procedures are being followed and program goals achieved.
- Provide direction for the use of procedures along with developing, establishing, and documenting security procedures for the proper use and support of mainframe hardware and software components.
- Use advanced-level knowledge ofmainframe components for security problem determination techniques to resolve known problems, research potential problems, and maintain overall system stability.
- Provide advanced technical security support for enterprise mainframe infrastructure systems including hardware, software, and services.
- Use advanced-level knowledge to research, install, test, and implement mainframe security enterprise components such as hardware, storage management systems, operating systems, and other systems software.
- Monitor mainframe security components for potential defects and take action to resolve the issues. Monitor mainframe security components and make recommendations to better utilize resources for optimal performance and cost effectiveness.
- Actively mentor and guide staff in development of mainframe implementation, testing, and maintaining of operating system and system software skills.
