ABOUT THE CONTROLS TECH ROLE . . .

We are seeking a skilled Control Panel Technician to join our team. As a Control Panel Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control panels and associated electrical systems. Your expertise in industrial electrician work and knowledge of distributed control systems and logic controllers will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our control panels.

  • Install and wire control panels according to electrical schematics and specifications
  • Test and troubleshoot control panel components, including logic controllers, relays, and switches
  • Detect and diagnose electrical malfunctions or issues with control panels
  • Maintain and repair control panels to ensure optimal performance
  • Use precision measuring instruments to calibrate control panel settings
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex electrical problems
  • Provide technical support for customers regarding control panel operation and maintenance
  • Document all work performed, including repairs, modifications, and installations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician or control panel technician
  • In-depth knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS) and logic controllers (PLC)
  • Ability to detect and diagnose electrical malfunctions or issues with control panels
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments for calibration purposes
  • Mechanical knowledge to perform basic repairs on control panel components
  • Familiarity with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems is a plus
  • Strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
