ME&A is Hiring a Development coordinator Near Bethesda, MD

Summary / Objective

ME&A is recruiting for a Business Development Coordinator to support the Development & Proposal Team with research and administrative duties throughout the proposal process.

These duties include supporting meetings, coordinating / writing proposal sections, graphics and desktop publishing functions, and other activities necessary to create a compliant, winning proposal.

The proposal coordinator will work closely with the Team in all aspects of proposal planning and logistics and document production in support of proposal development, review, and submission.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the proposal team. S / he will be confident and service-oriented and will have the ability to assist with proposal activities / initiatives and drive progress of the proposal process.

Responsibilities

  • Support business development activities for the company.
  • Assist with proposal's schedule development, outline, calendars, data calls, content research, coordination of the internal flow and review of all proposal inputs and outputs.
  • Coordinate and prepare responses to Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought Notices by gathering and coordinating all necessary content from multiple sources across the organization and from outside sources, such as teaming partners and consultants.
  • Draft, review, edit, and format past performance, resumes, and / or other assigned proposal sections to be tailored to the requirements of the RFP.
  • Edit paperwork and documentation for format, grammar, and spelling as needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings related to proposals
  • Assist with maintaining consistency for proposals, templates, corporate guidelines, etc.
  • Coordinate production on proposals requiring hard copy submissions, if needed.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating proposal templates, past performance database, and library of proposal re-use material.
  • Assist with performing daily searches through various sources
  • Assist with recruiting of short-term consultants.
  • Respond to requests from BD leads, capture managers, and proposal managers for relevant past performance project write-ups, including researching various topics
  • Assist with researching competitor information.
  • Organize files and develop trackers.
  • Perform other reasonable and general duties associated with the Proposal Coordinator position, as directed by the Proposal Manager

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating proposals for international development donors, in particular USAID and State Department funding.
  • Strong organization and management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others at varying levels of seniority and across departmental
  • Integrity, judgment and discretion along with a professional and interpersonal demeanor that elicits trust and respect from colleagues, donors, and strategic partners.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple deadlines, and engage in decisive and effective decision-making.
  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in a Liberal Science, Communication, English or related field
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Minimum of two years work experience in a corporate setting with 1 years of experience in proposal development / business development or project management coordination with a government contractor and clients such as USAID and United States Department.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the use of SharePoint and MS Teams)
