Position Summary: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of financial accounting and reporting processes. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the maintenance of accurate financial records, support financial analysis, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Controller and collaborates closely with other members of the finance team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• General Ledger: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording transactions, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
• Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and reporting activities, including variance analysis. Provide support for decision-making by preparing ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required.
• Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations. Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information, resolve issues, and support business initiatives.

Qualifications and Education Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2 years of experience in accounting roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (preferably NetSuite)
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus
