MD'S SPORTS BAR & GRILL is Hiring a Line Cook Near PEORIA, IL
MD's Sports Bar & Grill in Peoria, IL is looking for one line cook to join our 10 person strong team. We are located on 7719 N University, just south of Pioneer Parkway and across from McDonalds. We work hard but we have fun doing it!
Estimated 30-35 hours weekly, off Tuesday and Wednesdays. Our ideal candidate loves to cook, can handle a fast-paced short order line, is able to multi-task, works well with a team, and is dependable for all scheduled shifts.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stock kitchen prep for station, prepare sauces and other food preparation.
- Turn all equipment on, maintain cleanliness at all times
- Cook menu items accurately according to ticket specifics and recipes
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory
- End of shift clean up for prep area, line and dish area
- Sweep, mop and take trash to dumpster at shift's end
- Weekly Oil maintenance and miscellaneous projects on some Mondays.
Qualifications
- MINIMUM 1 year Cooking experience in a similar venue or Back of the House experience preferred
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and work as a team to meet those needs
- Strong attention to detail, is organized and can follow Health Department standards and MD's recipes
- Can pass Serve-safe certification (or already has) within 30 days of employment
Wage is negotiable based on experience.
