Job Summary:
McSweeney Chevrolet GMC/CDJR is seeking a highly skilled and certified GMC/Chevrolet Technician to join our team in Clanton, Alabama. This is a full-time, commission-only position offering competitive compensation and the opportunity for industry leading earnings potential. As an GMC/Chevrolet Certified Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in all work performed.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $60,000 to $180,000 per year based on commission earned. In addition, you will have access to benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts.
Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair all systems on GMC/Chevrolet vehicles according to manufacturer standards
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections
• Communicate effectively with customers and Service Advisors to explain vehicle issues and repair recommendations
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to accurately identify and address automotive problems
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while performing work
• Keep accurate and detailed records of work performed and parts used
• Attend training and development programs to stay current on industry advancements and updates
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all dealership policies and procedures
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification in GMC/Chevrolet vehicle repair
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified automotive technician
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must have own tools
• Availability to work full-time hours, including some weekends if needed
