McQuillan Home Services is Hiring a Recruiter Near Saint Paul, MN

Summary:
The Recruiter will identify, recruit, screen, and present the best talent for our organization, collaborating with hiring managers to set realistic technical requirements.

Primary Recruiter Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled, reviews job descriptions for vacancies.
  • Assists with the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for selected positions.
  • Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates.
  • Proactively source candidates utilizing multiple tools including but not limited to job boards, social media, referrals, etc.
  • Utilize best practices to optimize our interviewing/hiring process.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the hiring managers to ensure alignment in the recruiting/hiring process.
  • Drafts recruitment advertisements: posts and/or places ads in the most effective digital and/or print media for open positions.
  • Identifies appropriate candidates and assesses their qualifications through review of their resumes, interviews, and other forms of communications.
  • Connects qualified candidates with hiring managers.
  • Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
  • Keep the leadership team informed. of the status of open requisitions and candidates who are moving through the hiring process.
  • Vet’s potential employees’ credentials.
  • Work alongside and assist Marketing Director as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to obtain a thorough understanding of roles and technical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Must be organized and have great time-management skills
  • Should be detail oriented, and comfortable working independently and multi-tasking
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday

Education and Experience:

  • At least three years of related recruiting experience required, with prior experience in technical roles a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Travel to hiring events may be required at times
  • Must be able to lift 15 to 20 pounds at times.
