McNeill Hotel Company is Hiring a Vice President of Sales and Revenue Generation Near Germantown, TN

Vice President of Sales and Revenue Generation will provide leadership support to the sales leaders, revenue leaders, eCommerce team, and hotels in all sales and revenue management areas, including business planning, performance tracking, and troubleshooting with property-specific revenue leaders as needed.

To ensure the success of the management company by identifying and facilitating opportunities to grow total revenues and RevPAR Index share across the portfolio, this position will facilitate the performance and revenue goals at each managed hotel by providing leadership, direction, training, and follow-up on strategies so that each property meets or exceeds their yearly revenue goals.

Preferred candidate to be based out of the Corporate Office in Memphis, TN, but willing to consider remote location with the ability to frequently travel, approximately 40%.

Essential Functions:

· Provide leadership, direction, training, technical support, and guidance to the Regional Directors of Sales and Revenue Generations, Regional and Area Sales and Revenue Managers, and Regional Directors of Operation. On-property direction to the General Managers and the Directors of Sales to effectively generate revenue, profit, and share growth for the hotels.

· Create and/or utilize tools and reports that identify trends and opportunities for regional and on-property sales and revenue leaders to share growth in all hotels across regions and brands.

· Ensure compliance with MHC sales, revenue management & e-commerce guidelines, reporting, and third-party sources of business.

· Review Annual and Quarterly sales action plans to ensure they are aligned to effectively generate revenue, profit, and share growth for the hotels.

· Set the strategy and plan for the eCommerce team to ensure hotels meet and exceed the brand standards and maximize every opportunity to enhance digital presence where there is a significant return on investment.

· Conduct periodic audits of the sales and revenue management processes at each managed hotel.

· Keep the Corporate Office informed of key issues, opportunities, and challenges in the hotels.

· Develop and execute a MHC sales, revenue management, & eCommerce training program for new Director of Sales, Revenue Leaders to ensure that the company and brand standards for the sales and revenue management process are understood and practiced consistently for maximum effectiveness.

· Assist the Regional Directors of Operations and Sales and Revenue Generation in evaluating revenue opportunities and challenges; develop/execute a hands-on game plan that will improve negative trends at a hotel.

· Work with the hotel owners, asset managers, regional directors of operations and all other parties involved in the development of the revenue portion of the annual MHC Budgets and Business Plans. Ensure that these plans are comprehensive and ensure they are monitored throughout the year.

· Monitor STR reports, competitive rates, and other pricing diagnostic tools available. Make recommendations for corrective action as needed.

· Partner with all the major brands to ensure the management company maximizes all sales, revenue, and share opportunities.

· Be familiar with and utilize each of the appropriate brand sales, revenue management, and e-commerce tools if applicable. Assess inclusion in brand resources

· Support the pre-opening sales & marketing phase of new MHC hotels. Work with the Director of Sales and/or GM to identify revenue management and e-commerce strategies, action plans, and follow-up to drive revenue at the new hotel and generate leads from key market demand generators.

· Establish criteria for Sales and Revenue portfolio assignments and reassignments to ensure balanced portfolios

· Assist the MHC-managed hotels with the interviewing and selection of director of sales candidates to reduce the cycle time of open positions. Maintain records of subornaites growth and professional development desires within the company so that we may promote from within whenever possible.

· Support the Business Development team by ensuring a thorough review of all underwriting for new development opportunities, ensuring the most accurate revenue projections possible after considering all external reporting and internal resources available.

Reporting and Relationships:

· This position reports to the President.

· Reporting to this position are the Regional Directors of Sales and Revenue Generations, Regional Director of Sales, Area Revenue Managers, Area Director of Sales, and the digital/e-commerce team. There is a strong dotted line of reporting with the property-based Directors of Sales.

· It will be critical to the success of this position to develop and maintain a harmonious relationship with the corporate field and property management teams and to solicit and utilize their ideas and expertise when developing and revising programs, standards, and policies.

· This position will encourage and perpetuate a team attitude amongst all employees and management that focuses on revenue building and exceeding our guest’s expectations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· BA/BS 4–5-year degree or foreign equivalency.

· Minimum of 5 years of revenue management experience or 10 years combined experience of Operations, Sales and Revenue Management.

· Travel to the Corporate Office in Memphis, TN one time a month (if candidate does not relocate), and other travel to conferences, ownership meetings, and properties as needed, approximately 40-50% travel.

· Strong background in Revenue Management techniques in and select service or full service.

· Prior multi-property sales and revenue management responsibility.

· Ability to help properties drive revenues and improve profits through innovative positioning.

· Strong budgetary, projections and cost control skills in the hotel industry.

· Understand basic asset management.

· Juggle and balance the needs of the company and the owner.
