SUMMARY
The National Account Manager is responsible for overall profitability and success of the assigned national and strategic accounts by building long-term relationships with established customers and developing new prospects within the assigned territory. The National Account Manager’s core objective is to promote additional national account rental opportunities and to extend the company’s long term lease portfolio with accounts that meet the organization's strategic plan to drive growth and financial profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily including the ability to travel to assigned customer locations on a regular basis. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED and Associates or Bachelor’s degree. Three to five years sales experience in a transportation related industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be required to use computers, copiers, fax machines, keyboard, ten-key calculator and multi-line phones. The employee is required to use an automobile to drive to customer sites and trade shows.
