EMPLOYMENT TYPE
This is a contract position with the expectation of work hours to normally be 40 hours per week during the regular business day, although commonly the workday can be longer depending on the requirements of the client and the project. This position is considered a salary position, and no overtime is paid unless special circumstances arise and then only on a case-by-case basis. Some travel may be required for this position depending on project locations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This Asset Management Technician for construction projects is responsible for data entry, asset management, maintenance and data correction, for all new equipment being implemented at an ongoing chemical manufacturing facility.
Asset Management:
-Work closely with the project team to maintain a list of new project assets.
-Update assets that will be serviced.
-Conducts field walk-downs to identity and document job requirements, any specific safety hazards that may be encountered during the execution of work.
-Will support creation of inventory system, receiving purchased items into system, tracking items if they’ve been dispatched to employees and/or contractors, and reviewing invoices.
Data Entry:
-Manage and maintain data entry within the Maximo system.
-Data correction as needed.
-Assist in formation into maintenance management system.
Maintenance:
-Schedule a routine maintenance or inspection of an asset, location or a set of assets defined with a route.
-Review job plans, frequencies and the defaults for the work order.
-Provide planning and support for equipment outages, unit shutdowns and turnarounds.
-Assist with other projects as needed.
Much of this person's responsibility will be with projects for an established repeat client base. Additionally, the role of this Asset Management Technician is to understand and meet our customer’s needs and requirements. Pleasant and fair interaction with the Owners and Subcontractors is a must.
This position is Safety Sensitive and Mandatory Substance Abuse testing per the St. Louis Construction Industry Substance Abuse Consortium is required.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERTISE
Previous experience with Maximo, SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or related field.
Self-starter that takes sincere pride in your work.
Have a stable work history with multiple references.
Maintain strong work and personal ethics.
Develop long-term working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Solid communication skills.
Current OSHA 10-hour training minimum.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.
Willing to travel sometimes based on project locations.
