McGovern Law Firm is Hiring a Personal Injury Case Manager Near Houston, TX

McGovern Law Firm is a personal injury law firm dedicated to helping injured victims in Texas. We're seeking a full time case manager to assist with our personal injury docket. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, pay attention to detail, be organized, and self-motivated.

Legal Receptionist/Legal Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls;
  • Greet and assist visitors;
  • Sort and scan mail and faxes;
  • Interact with clients daily to provide status updates, gather information, and service their needs;
  • Interact with medical providers regarding client’s treatment;
  • Interact with insurance adjusters and other counsel regarding cases;
  • Handle new client intake;
  • Set up new client files and insurance claims;
  • Manage client cases;
  • Draft correspondence and other legal documents, such as but not limited to, Notice of Representation, Settlement Demands, Petitions, Discovery Requests/Responses; etc.
  • Request/review medical and billing records with verified affidavits;
  • Submit electronic filings on Efile and PACER;
  • Calendar pertinent deadlines; and
  • Assist attorneys with routine clerical duties and other miscellaneous legal duties as assigned.

The hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., M-F. Hourly compensation is commensurate with experience. Raises and/or bonuses may be given based off of your work performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Benefits:

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Legal Receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Legal Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • Spanish (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Houston, TX 77046 (Preferred)

Job-related location requirement:

  • Candidates must be within a 25-mile radius.
