Primary purpose of job:
Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance functions necessary for maintaining and operating chemical plant equipment and systems.
Major duties of job:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair a broad range of mechanical and electrical systems, including:
Pumps - positive displacement & centrifugal
Piping systems and other related process equipment
Pneumatics – air motors, valve actuators, cylinders.
Gearboxes – lubrication, seals, operation.
Power Transmission – motors, belts, chains, gears, couplings
Hydraulic – pumps, cylinders, lines.
Seals – gaskets, o-rings, packing, etc.
Motors – 120, 240 & 480 VAC
Circuits – switches, contactors, relays, fuses, power sources, etc.
PLC’s
Instrumentation
Work with supervision and/or operators to troubleshoot process equipment and machinery.
Follow confined space, hot work, and line breaking procedures to perform all work in the safest manner, especially when performing jobs such as: high work, welding, cutting, rigging, lifting, electrical trouble-shooting and installation.
Knowledge and skills required:
1) High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
2) Trade/electrical certification or equivalent preferred.
3) Five years or more of industrial maintenance experience documented in the work history of the application is preferred.
4) Have working knowledge of trade skills such as welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, shop machinery and masonry.
This position is a full-time position and is available immediately. McGean offers competitive pay commensurate with experience and benefits package.
$30.00 to $33.00 per hour depending on experience
