Branch Operations Manager Job Description

The Branch Operations Manager is critically important to our growth and success. As a Branch Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall production planning, efficiency and quality of field operations. In addition, you will have a significant role in the readiness, care, appearance and safe operation of all assets within the branch(s). You will also be expected to mentor our Field Managers to be more effective leaders and better managers.

Reports to: Branch Manager Classification: Full-time / Salary – Exempt

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically support, adhere to, and promote our Vision, Mission, and Core Values
  • Support, adhere to, and enforce company policies
  • Responsible to develop, instruct, and follow through on efficient production plans for the field operations teams in both the maintenance and enhancement departments
  • Will develop effective snow operation plans that maximize staffing and assets while simultaneously avoiding unnecessary expenses
  • Expected to become an advanced level user of all company software systems, specifically Aspire,Concur, Pay locity and others.
  • Mentor and hold accountable Field Operations Mangers to deliver on expected results in a timely manner
  • Through thoughtful analysis, you will ensure Field Operation Managers are right sizing and staffing accordingly based on job size and hours to complete assigned jobs
  • Reviews assigned crews work quality in the field and corrects as necessary to ensure client satisfaction
  • In conjunction with the Branch Manager, you will assist with setting both short & long-range strategic plans, which coincide with the company's overall strategic plan
  • Develop and conduct training programs for all branch field staff to improve operational efficiency, compliance, and safety
  • Working with the in-house mechanic, and outsourcing partners, you will be responsible for the overall care, condition and maintenance of all assets assigned to branch(s)
  • Relentlessly challenge standards, tools, and methods to ensure branch operations are maximizing profitability
  • Assure work and performance aligns with the company’s exacting standards
  • Ensure work is being conducted in a safe manner, while maintaining safe working conditionsfor our employees, the customer, general public and the environment
  • Establishing and promoting positive relationships with local vendors, service partners, local & state agencies, and the general public locally
  • Timely cooperative collaboration with other company departments including the executive team
  • Accurate submission of all required documentation in a timely manner
  • Will report all incidents and injuries immediately and may be called to help investigate rootcause
  • Participates in branch and corporate-level meetings as required
  • Always represent the company in a positive and professional mannerRequirements:
  • Stay well-informed of changes and advances in the world of commercial landscape maintenance and snow management





Qualifications:

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Consent to random, reasonable suspicion, and post incident drug testing
  • Have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Must be insurable by insurance carrier
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of management-level knowledge and experience within the commercial lawn maintenance and snow removal industry
  • Proven extensive knowledge of operations and production management
  • Proven extensive knowledge of fleet management
  • Must have management experience and proven excellent managerial skills
  • Must have excellent knowledge or business and financial principles
  • Must have “Big picture” thinking
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be self-motivated, well organized, and strong time management skills
  • Have a positive and friendly attitude
  • Must have professional phone, meeting, event etiquette
  • Must be able to work as a team and take direction from multiple sources
  • Must be a self-starter, able to productively work for extended periods of time with minimal direct supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
