It’s bonus points when you get to see your family and friends use the tech you build at their favorite McD restaurant.Job DescriptionThe US Back Office Products team is dedicated to developing and delivering innovative technology focused on improving the restaurant experience for managers and crew as well as optimizing the management of cash and inventory daily!The Senior Product Engineering Manager for Back Office Systems and Data Integrations will be responsible for the technical direction and strategy of how Back Office applications in the US restaurants integrate across other Restaurant and Enterprise applications.Accountabilities & Responsibilities:Establish a technical vision and strategy for restaurant Back Office systems, specifically focusing on data integrations across platformsPartner with our platform and product engineering teams, as well as vendors, to review architecture, solution designs and drive alignment on Platform and Application strategyCollaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement integrations that enhance overall system efficiency.Collaborate with the IT Security teams to review and assess security measures related to applications.Assist and be the subject matter expert on features and capabilities to development partners and other product teams to ensure alignment.Partner with other Product Engineering teams in leading product lifecycles, especially where integrations cross teams, as well as security remediations and enhancements.QualificationsSoftware development experience, with knowledge of Agile software development processGreat stakeholder management and vendor management skillsStrong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical details to non-technical stakeholdersGood understanding of agile software development processes and McD deployment practicesKnowledgeable with Identity Management, SSO and SAML concepts.A passion for learning and figuring out creative restaurant technology solution to any given business problemA love of new technologies and the aim to find ways to implement better tools and processes to improve efficiencyStrong ability to speak to, as well as collaborate with, engineers, project managers, corporate leadership, and partnersExperience leading multi-functional teams and handling indirect reports to achieve organizational goalsCurious, task-oriented, and a self-starter with a strong bias for action; Proven track record of “getting things done”Preferred Qualifications5 years of relevant professional work experience3 years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Product Manager eliciting/defining requirements, designing systems solutions, and handling business requirements1 years of experience with agile development methodologiesProactive, self-motivated, and accountable teammateAdditional InformationMcDonald’s is an equal opportunity employer committed to the diversity of our workforce.
