Key Responsibilities:

Senior Product Manager Heavy Maintenance is accountable for the oversight of the Product SME team & assistance of technical support functions within the Out-Side Vendor (OSV) network. This role requires a forward-thinking technical expert who is proficient in many facets of aircraft maintenance, UAL systems, and network while also prioritizing data analytics, and OSV standardization. The Senior Product Manager will collaborate with numerous stakeholders to deliver on-time commitments while consistently reviewing process for improvement. Flexibility, subject matter expertise, and professionalism are key attributes for this role meshed with exacting standards for performance, partnership, and integrity. Achieving committed results in a timely and compliant manner is paramount. Interacting with peer-groups outside of reporting structures will be mandatory for success and effectiveness.

Facility Travel: 85%

International travel required? Yes

Operational schedule/onsite at facilities required 50%

• Manage SME group effectively, ensure adequate personnel & team deployment for departure readiness. Administer OSV training & onboarding program to include risk / volume-based resource allocation. Planning & programs peer leader for escalation & funneling of scope changes / input.

• Monitor & champion improvement in all facets of OSV deliverables to airline including transitions. Accountable for successful start-up & closure of stations to include risk ID & mitigation.

• Owner for organized & standardized data collection including visit metrics, flow, script, etc. Oversee flight test data & trends, identifying & chartering best practices in a standardized fashion.

• Reliability & in-service occurrence reports ownership to approve / deny claims or findings within OSV. Warranty ownership to approve / deny for heavy maintenance vendors & suppliers

• Special projects as assigned by Director to improve, standardize, & share best practices.

Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent aviation experience
  • Minimum of 10 years overall aviation industry experience
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory, project management experience in aviation related fields, aircraft technical expertise with proven track record
  • Aircraft heavy maintenance, troubleshooting SME, program management.
  • Technical expertise & aircraft troubleshooting ability
  • Aircraft maintenance management
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners.
  • Proven organization and leadership skills with the ability to build a team & processes within the group - change management.
  • Ability to partner in a variable and complex environment achieving predictable results, partnership and relationship building along the way.
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
  • B.S. Degree in aviation related field
  • Supervision of management team members, budget management, data analytics & trend recognition
  • Finance, data analytics, industry knowledge
  • Technician, Line, Engineering, Inspection, or Planning roles
