Description
Job Summary:
The General and Operations Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Hires and trains new employees.
• Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
• Oversees the Production, Dispatch, and Warehouse Departments.
• Oversees the Safety Standards and Operations of the facility.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Essential Job Functions:
• Ensures a standard of Correct, Complete and On-Time for the customer as it relates to Operations functions
• Oversight of the recruitment, training and growth of all personnel
• Formulates and/or assists in the formulation and approves all major capital appropriations
• Insures proper staffing levels are in place with current and projected workload
• Responsible for annual worker evaluation, wage and bonus program administration
• Creates a safety conscientious environment where co-workers adhere to safety standards and procedures
• Drives quality standards of products received, produced and shipped to the customer
• Maintain and grow relationship within organization at other locations as appropriate
• Oversee activities directly related to making products or providing services.
• Manage the movement of goods into and out of production facilities.
• Direct non-production departments of businesses, such as warehouse and shipping.
• Provides for and maintains an atmosphere where all coworkers are treated with dignity and respect
• Responsible for maintaining all capital facilities and equipment in a secure, clean, working and safe manner
• Responsible for the Facility Maintenance.
• Responsible for the maintenance of both the Industrial Truck and CMV Fleets
• Performs other assignments as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
• Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Experience with DMSI Agility Software preferred.
Experience:
5-10 years of related experience Required.
