POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a strategic partner to functional Senior Leadership team(s), the Senior Director, Global Change Management is responsible for developing and executing global, large-scale, cross-functional transformational change initiatives that support McCormick’s ongoing digital and cultural transformation. The position works closely with Business Leaders, Program Teams, Governance Bodies, PMO’s, HR Directors, HR COE Leaders and external partners to ensure effective delivery against strategic objectives. This position is responsible for leadership and delivery of the full change management lifecycle including stakeholder analysis, readiness assessments, sponsor plans, communication, training and reinforcement plans for high priority transformational initiatives. The position is expected to solve complex organization challenges, resulting in immediate improvements to systems, processes and tools designed to meet long-term business needs of growth and performance. It does so through a focus on organizational assessment and design, strategic workforce planning and actioning, enhancing skill sets of employees and driving leadership effectiveness.

This leader will also develop and deploy methods to receive insights to the pulse of change in the organization surrounding projects and/or programs to ensure that the delivered activities engaged, build trust, and effectuate positive outcomes surrounding the change. This leader will ensure that communications associated with the changes are integrated across all applicable channels throughout the organization, incorporating media and methods that best capture the attention of audiences and create receptivity, engagement and trust.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as trusted thought leader to senior level executives responsible for leading and/or engaging in major transformation initiatives. Leads change management lifecycle and organization readiness planning and execution of agreed priorities and delivers insights productively through stakeholder management.
  • Utilizes data and KPI’s for measurement and tracking, proactively identifying risks/issues/gaps and maps mitigation strategies.
  • Develops and leads overall change strategy and the implementation of a global transformation program(s) through stakeholder mapping, communication, training, tools, resources alignment and best practices for organizational change management.
  • Act as strategic thought leader that works with defined leadership team(s) to develop workforce transformation roadmap that is sequenced and aligned to business priorities. In partnership with HR, lead prioritization and execution of cross-functional priorities to align HR and Business to deliver on building a pipeline of talent for the future, to include org design, strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, learning and development, talent management, communications and engagement.
  • Lead the design, alignment, development and implementation of global standards and tools. Establish a global McCormick standard for change management, organizational design and strategic workforce planning methodology, leadership tools and training, assessment tools to determine readiness, effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Manage a team of change management professionals including change, communications and learning and development professionals.
  • Influences team and broader change network on the implementation of global standards and tools across global programs and initiatives. Continue to drive the effectiveness and efficiency of the HR Operating Model and the delivery of processes and technology to Leaders and Employees.
  • Lead the design and execution various assessment tools to determine readiness, effectiveness, and engagement.
  • Define the desired behaviors from different layers of the organization (Senior leaders, Middle Managers, Functional Users/Employees) to support a holistic approach that stimulates engagement for change and supports transformation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, HR, Supply Chain or related field
  • Prosci Certification/CCMP/CMS/CPCM
  • At least 12 years of relevant business experience including leading large-scale organizational change
  • Demonstrated program management and/or project management experience
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience operating in a global environment, with understanding to different cultural norms and ways of working
  • Demonstrated experience working on cross-functional teams to deliver results
  • Strong influencing, collaboration, and partnering skills to grow business relationships vital to strategy success.
  • Ability to influence outcomes; ability to get things done through others.
  • Problem solving skills involving multiple constraints, many of which are not within the direct control of the incumbent.
  • Navigates complexity of the change curve, employee engagement and situational awareness.
  • High degree of independent problem solving required to accurately make a variety of decisions. Utilizing analytical ability, translates business strategies and issues into appropriate HR actions in accordance with High Performance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Working with or in the Supply Chain function
  • Prior experience working as an HR Business Partner
  • Prior experience working as a Change Practitioner
