McCords Excavating LLC is Hiring an Equipment Operator Near Lynchburg, VA

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and vehicles to complete construction and maintenance projects. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Duties:
- Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment, including backhoes, bulldozers, roll off trucks, concrete mixers, tankers, water trucks, and farm machinery
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment to complete assigned tasks
- Follow project plans and specifications to ensure accurate and timely completion of work
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate project activities

Skills:
- Proficient in operating backhoes, bulldozers, roll off trucks, concrete mixers, tankers, water trucks, and farm machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing conditions

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or similar environment
