MC Machinery Systems, Inc. is Hiring a Regional Sales Representative- Houston, TX Near Houston, TX

DESCRIPTION:

The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for the efficient promotion and profitable sale of equipment for MC Machinery’s fabrication division as well as growing market share in their respected areas. Working within a geographical region (Houston, TX), the Sales Representative will solicit new business through developed leads by working a pipeline of customers both current and potential. They will work closely with management to develop best practices in marketing and promotions in their region. This individual will develop strong relationships with existing customers to increase knowledge of fabrication programs and services available.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for expanding our customer base, maintain a customer database, develop new leads from cold calls, and finish the project from start to close
  • Develop personal sales strategies and forecasts
  • Work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment 
  • Be in constant contact with customers by visiting, writing, or phoning, as well as prepare/present demonstrations for our machinery at client locations. 
  • Participate in open houses, trade shows as well as research competitive information.
  • Be a liaison with installation and customer service team to generate business leads
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to identify opportunities to sell to customers, additional MC Machinery products when such opportunities present itself
  • Knowledge and ability to apply industry standards that may not be completely applicable to the work and may require adaptation, modification or deviation.
  • Ability to effectively document and communicate ideas, strategies, problems, and solutions in both verbal and written forms to and customers.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and other necessary supportive documentation.
  • Willingness to travel to customers location as deemed necessary

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or equivalent preferred
  • 2-5 years’ experience in machine tool sales
  • Previous experience selling fabrication or industrial products preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other ERP systems

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Job operates mainly indoors, but exposed to changing weather conditions, such as extreme hot or cold, rain, sun, wind, etc. This job also works near moving mechanical parts and the noise level is moderate to loud. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver’s license is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11-20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 21-50 or more pounds. Also requires constant pushing and pulling of 1-50 pounds and infrequent pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices. Good visual and color acuity are required to perform this job
