Position Description
The Marketing Development and Resource Specialist will be responsible for providing industry and marketing information and support for the companys current portfolio as well as future geospatial products and services. The position will be multi-faceted in responsibilities and require assembling multiple sources of information to present key findings for market needs and communications to both existing and new market segments.
  • Strong writing, publishing and presentation skills are highly desirable.
  • Ideal candidate will have Geographic Information Science knowledge.
  • Marketing Development and Resource Specialist will report to the Chief Marketing Officer
  • Experienced-level position.
  • Hybrid work will be offered after initial full-time onsite training.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Create internal process of engagement and collaboration for information to flow from East View Geospatial business development, production, and procurement to marketing for ongoing communications of brand, products, and services to existing and emerging markets.
  • Research and review conference and exhibition opportunities and deliver recommendations for what level of participation is appropriate. This includes exhibiting, attending, presentations and panel discussions as well as travel for these types of events.
  • Research and analyze competitors and collaborate with sales and marketing for off-the-shelf data, services, and capabilities for contributions to overall pricing strategy purposes
Duties include:
  • Engagement in the development of geospatial website content, data processes, messaging, functionality, e-commerce, and user experience. This may also include aspects of site design, competitive research, and price analysis.
  • Engagement in U.S. Government Services Administration (GSA) program contributions for East View Geospatial.
  • Take ownership of relationships with marketing contacts at publishers or partners whom we have contracts with the goal of acquiring content and information to promote their resources.
  • Contribute content for the purposes of press release activities regarding agreements, products, data, or services for the use of communication to various media contacts.
  • Contribute to the creation of video scripts and assist in video production for social media, products and other promotional needs as required.
  • Develop a strong understanding and proficiency with CRM (NetSuite) functionality to manage data, contacts, and proper segmentation for future marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Strong descriptive writing, communications, and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelors degree in Geographic Information Science (GIS), remote sensing, or related field preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Master' s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in geospatial industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe software suite, and major GIS/remote sensing software (ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS, GlobalMapper, etc.)
  • Must live in or around Minneapolis/St. Paul area
