MBP is Hiring a Remote Talent Acquisition Specialist

Overview

MBP is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team! 

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:

  • One to three years of recruiting experience with prior use of an Applicant Tracking System, candidate database, and social media platforms.
  • Experience with recruitment efforts, processes, or programs, including positions requiring Secret/Top Secret clearances a plus.
  • Business experience including talent acquisition, and/or organizational effectiveness, including experience in staffing for technical position (such as Engineers, Inspectors, Consultants) and retention initiatives.
  • Full cycle recruiting experience with sourcing, tracking, and managing candidates.

In this role, familiarity with the A/E/C industry is preferred. This opportunity is open to several MBP office locations with telework options available. 

LOCATION

Proximity to one of the following locations desired:

  • Fairfax, VA (Headquarters)
  • Richmond, VA

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Assist with identifying internal hiring efforts (assessing of employees for different or more senior roles).
  • Recruit applicants for available positions using creative solutions to source and attract candidates in alignment with an approved budget.
  • Identify and source appropriate talent for current open roles within the organization.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including initial assessments, advertising, attending jobs/career fairs, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, verifying references, requesting background checks through vendor, coordinating employment offers, and new hire orientations.
  • Use applicant tracking systems and other recruiting software to track applicants throughout the selection phase to include collection of onboarding documentation.
  • Ensure all recruitment dispositions in HRIS are kept up to date for accurate record keeping and Affirmative Action compliance.
  • Develop relationships with third party recruitment agencies and staffing firms and assist with the procurement and measurement process.
  • Provide recruitment counsel and guidance to hiring managers with hiring and employment data.
  • Escalate employee relations issues and potential issues to Senior Vice President of Human Resources.
  • Potential for travel is 30%, with peak hiring in Spring and early Summer.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Prior work experience with agency/third-party search firm is preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency required.
  • Knowledge of employment law; specifically, recruitment laws.
  • Knowledge of Engineering, Construction Management, or A/E/C terminology a plus.
  • iCIMS Applicant Tracking experience is a plus
  • SHRM-CP or PHR desired.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities, following up as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills, follow up skills, and attention to detail is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building relationships with candidates, internal customers, and business partners.
  • Self-starter with high degree of initiative. Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently, and determine solutions; however, must recognize the importance of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to engage and influence all leadership levels.
  • Excellent analytical, trouble-shooting and problem solving skills, and capable of establishing priorities in an often ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrate an ability to identify and analyze problems, exercise independent judgment, resourcefully innovate, recommend effective courses of action.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

MBP must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as client requirements related to the COVID-19 virus. Prior to being hired, you will have to provide proof of full vaccination status for COVID-19, or have received an approval for a medical or religious accommodation.
