ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

Support and assist the project manager and/or estimator to assure timely project completion. Duties may include developing schedules, budgets, progress reviews, billings, bids, change orders, submittal lists, and reports. Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, owners, vendors, and company personnel to coordinate efficient completion of a project and/or prepare construction bids. May analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create project management documentation that may include schedules, material purchases, cost management, progress charts, etc.
• Coordinate and communicate with owners, vendors, crews, subcontractors, architects, and suppliers to facilitate timely project completion
• As required, conduct workplace inspections assessing quantity and specification/quality, percent completion by subcontractors, and safety compliance
• Develop operations and maintenance manuals and as-builts, as required
• Assist with review of proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Carry out estimating project approach. Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
• Participate in compiling technical responses and qualifications for RFP’s and RFQ’s.
• Utilize estimating software and conform to established policies and procedures.
• Assist in updating estimating software programs.
• Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience.
