Assistant Dispensary Manager - Job Description

We grow, produce, market and sell premium cannabis products directly to medical patients and adult-use consumers through our dispensary in north Phoenix and distribute our brands through our valued network of wholesale clients.

Led by industry veteran Lilach Mazor Power, Giving Tree Dispensary and our B2B brand Mazor Collective is the only female-majority owned cannabis licensee in Arizona. The Assistant Dispensary Manager will help plan and manage all aspects of day-to-day operations, including managing personnel, establish strong customer relations, inventory control and handle the daily ebb and flow of all store related matters while adhering to strict state guidelines and regulations. You will communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to implement and maintain, protocols, policies, and procedures in accordance with company standards.

Role Responsibilities:

· Learn the ins and outs of the Point of Sale System

· Review and assist in receiving all deliveries with diligence and accuracy and accordance

with company and state regulations

· Create effective organization and information gathering for all inventory regarding

special patient orders, employee patient samples, and weekly deals

· Track various sales metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

· Assist with training of staff according to company guidelines

· Assist in conducting nightly and monthly inventory audits in accordance with company

and state guidelines to ensure there is no diversion of inventory, and effectively

respond to discrepancies

· Prepare and effectively lead state inspectors through unannounced inspections

· Maintain records for all necessary documents: delivery and inventory manifests, nightly

and monthly inventory counts, necessary employee, and patient/customer information,

logbooks, inventory adjustments, and destruction reports

· Customer Care and Patient Satisfaction.

· Assist the Dispensary Manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with patients, to evaluate their needs

and specifications

· Continuous and positive communication skills with team members, managers and

owners.

· Ensures compliance objectives are met

· Cash handling

· Support the Shift Leads and scheduling breaks

· Open and close Dispensary; Provide emergency shift coverage if needed

· Maintain positive vendor relationships

· Identify solutions that decrease waste, increase efficiency and positively impact the

bottom line

Requirements:

  • Proven organizational skills.
  • 2 -3 years of strong retail, hospitality or customer facing experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff members and managers.
  • Efficacy with technology and point of sale systems.
  • A fundamental understanding of cannabinoids and their effects on the body is preferred.
  • A passion for cannabis that is translatable to a diverse group of ages, ethnicities, and professionals.
  • Working knowledge of inventory and sales reports
  • Experience in a retail management position.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree is Required

Must read, be familiar with and abide by all aspects of ARS 36 Chapter 28.1 (The Arizona Medical Marijuana Act) and AAC Title 9 Chapter 17 (The Department of Health Services Medical Marijuana Program Rules).
