JOB OVERVIEW:
Job Overview:
Our Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing the restaurant's daily operations. The Assistant Manager leads the team to create and maintain a positive culture that keeps our guests coming back for more! Also, the Assistant Manager will have clear communication, work ethic, and attention to detail that will provide a memorable eegee's experience for each guest. The Assistant Manager will make sure the restaurant meets the company's quality, service, and profitability standards. The Assistant Manager will manage the restaurant's team members, inventory, finances, and compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads and maintains an inclusive, positive, and safe workplace for team members and guests.
  • Manages the inventory of food, supplies, and equipment and orders items as needed.
  • Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally and courteously.
  • May assist the General Manager in creating the restaurant schedule.
  • May help the General Manager prepare and review budgets, reports, and performance indicators, as needed.
  • Provides developmental and growth opportunities for team members.
  • Engages and promotes excellent team and interpersonal communication and guest service skills.
  • May provide and document team member feedback and coaching in joint efforts with the General Manager.
  • Conducts training sessions by presenting job-specific programs and processes.
  • Support new hires by ensuring a consistent training experience.
  • Collaborate with management to effectively develop training plans for team members.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of team member progress.
  • Ensuring that the organization’s resources are efficiently utilized.
  • Deploy training in-store, on-the-job, with operations team members to achieve performance expectations.
  • Critically examining the trainers’ and trainees’ understanding and progress and making necessary adjustments to the training program with approval.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Prepares batches of food that are cooked to order or kept warm frequently.
  • Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as grills and/or deep fryers frequently.
  • Prepares, washes, and cuts food to be cooked frequently.
  • Multitasks by cooking several different orders at once, ensuring that all items are prepared per guest instructions frequently.
  • Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils constantly.
  • Clean areas and equipment as needed.
  • Any other responsibility that aligns with the role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (with or without accommodations)
  • Must have the ability to respond to company communications.
  • Must have the ability to assume General Managers' duties in their absence.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of eegee’s operational processes.
  • Must have strong verbal and interpersonal skills to understand problems, convey ideas, and conduct training.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively with both large and small groups.
  • Must have the ability to think critically, which enables the store trainer to keep material engaging to hold trainees’ attention and improvise on their training style.
  • Must have presentation skills to present and handle training programs effectively.
  • Administrative skills, as an employee trainer is required to manage training programs efficiently, including sessions and completion rates.
Minimum, Qualification, Education, and Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a batch master within the first 6 months of hire/promotion.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and work weekends.
  • One year of experience in fast food or the restaurant industry is required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements (required with or without accommodation)
  • Must ensure a member of management is always in the store at any given time.
  • Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Workaround hot equipment, oil, extreme cold (walk-in freezer), and loud noises for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to move freely throughout the restaurant frequently to include enclosed and compact spaces.
  • Must be able to remain standing for the duration, excluding breaks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds often, and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of hands, wrists, fingers, arms, legs, and bending at the waist (climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials) for the duration of the shift.
  • Use of cognitive skills including, but not limited to, learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for decision-making, problem-solving, and comprehending for the duration of the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems preferred.
