Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center has been meeting specialized eye care needs for over 20 years. One of the many services available to our patients and members of our community is an on-site optical shop. Our Springfield location is in need of a full-time Optician. This individual should be highly motivated, outgoing, and pleasant, with excellent customer service skills. Previous optical experience is a plus, however, is not required when applying, as training will be provided.

Job Duties Include:

  • Assist patients with order and dispensing of eyewear
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Create and maintain attractive displays
  • Work well in small space with minimal supervision
  • Tracking of orders and typical office duties
  • Effectively communicate with clients, coworkers, Optical Manager
  • Ability to use standard office equipment
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office program or other software as required
  • Ability to use Optical equipment
  • Good attendance/dependability
