Residential Construction / Home Builder Career Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Division Manager to lead a very reputable and fast-growing homebuilder in the Ocala / Gainesville markets. This executive position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Division President, Vice President, or similar role within the homebuilding industry. We are specifically looking for individuals with a proven track record of building highly effective teams.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a strategic executive to spearhead the development of a fast-growing division within a thriving market. The Division President will formulate and execute the division’s strategic and annual operating plans. The ideal candidate will be skilled in recruiting, training, motivating, and managing the division’s management team to implement the company’s agreed-upon objectives and strategies effectively. Additionally, they will ensure that company policies, practices, and goals are appropriately communicated, enforced, and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.

Division Manager Objectives

  • Develop and execute strategic plans and objectives to ensure customer satisfaction and foster associate growth and development in alignment with agreed-upon goals.
    Recruit, hire, and effectively manage division personnel to ensure they can achieve the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that the division’s organizational structure adequately supports current operations and meets planned growth objectives or makes necessary adjustments for downsizing.
  • Review and approve sales price releases for all new projects. Provide regular reports on subsequent releases to remain updated on market and competitive conditions.
  • Collaborate with division management in the development and production of new product plans.
  • Review and approve all financing requests for construction starts, and conduct periodic monthly reviews and approvals of any deviations (timings and budgets) from these initial approvals.
  • Act as a contact and liaison with developers, the building industry, and the general community to promote and support the company’s homebuilding operations across all markets.
  • Ensure compliance with approved policies, procedures, ethical standards, and applicable laws and regulations while keeping commitments made in contracts and other agreements.
  • Develop, implement, and manage customer satisfaction and quality programs to improve the company’s buyer acceptance and satisfaction ratings continuously.

Division Manager Qualifications

  • Required college degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in the homebuilding industry.
  • Exceptional analytical and writing capabilities, with the ability to effectively present ideas, concepts, and technical strategies both individually and in group settings. Public speaking experience is a valuable asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building.
  • Strong work ethic and a team player committed to contributing to the organization’s collective success.
