Masterworks is a fintech platform that allows anyone to invest in shares of SEC-registered blue-chip paintings by names like Banksy, Monet, and Picasso. So far, we have raised over $550M across 100 paintings from more than 500,000 users. This year, we expect to buy more than $1 billion in art, making us the largest buyer in the art market.

The business has more than 160 employees, and has been featured in major media publications such as The NY Times, CNBC, CNN, WSJ, and more. After becoming profitable in early 2020, just three years after being founded, Masterworks raised $110M in its Series A round with a valuation of over $1 billion.

With the exception of our tech team, all employees work in our offices at Brookfield Place in the Financial District of New York City.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a marketing professional to drive meaningful user growth through email newsletter sponsorships and organic paid promotions with influencers on YouTube. We’ve worked with hundreds of newsletters and influencers such as MorningBrew and Andrei Jikh. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to think analytically about ad performance and creatively about the deal structure to maximize the ROI of each sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and conduct outreach to potential media partners for various sponsorships
  • End-to-end coordination and management of approved buys, including:
    • pitching
    • negotiating
    • overseeing trafficking of creative/deliverables
    • ongoing reporting and optimization of the partnership
  • Meeting monthly spend and ROI metrics

Team Overview:

The Marketing team of 25 people focuses on direct response advertising to scale user generation and ROAS across several dedicated channels. Our marketing group is organized into the following groups:

  • Marketing Analytics
  • Media Buying
    • Podcasts
    • Newsletters
    • Influencers (YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, etc)
  • Paid Social and Programmatic Ads
    • Platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Tiktok, Quora, etc.)
    • Programmatic Native and Display
  • Creative (Copywriting, Design, and Landing Page Development)

Requirements or Skill Sets:

  • 1-5 years of experience in sales, media buying, partnerships, growth marketing, or similar fields
  • Experience using a CRM to organize prospect lists and do outreach
  • Familiarity with Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive
  • Passion for financial markets and tech

Measurements of Success in First 90 Days:

  • Meeting spend goal at target ROAS
  • Booking 75 new partners

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in the US - no exceptions
  • Must be able to work out of our NYC office
