Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive and enjoyable experience for our guests. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and take their drink orders in a prompt and friendly manner
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences
- Provide recommendations on drink selections based on customer preferences and menu offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning glasses, and utensils
- Process customer payments using cash handling procedures or electronic payment systems
- Monitor alcohol consumption of customers to prevent over-intoxication
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Assist with event planning and catering services as needed
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of various drink recipes, brewing techniques, and mixology
- Proficient in basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating bills
- Experience with Squirrel POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Cash handling experience, including operating a cash register
- Familiarity with banquet operations is a plus
