The Opportunity
MassMutual Strategic Distributors is looking for a Sales Support Specialist to join our Internal Sales Desk. As a Sales Support Specialist, you will be introduced to the insurance industry, with specific attention to building sales and client relationship management and life insurance product knowledge. You will have a strong desire to learn, practice and apply new skills through partnering with talented, experienced sales professionals. The Team
The Internal Sales Desk at MassMutual Strategic Distributors works with distributors in the third-party/independent/BrokerGeneral Agent space to sell our Whole Life and Variable Universal Life, Universal Life and Term life insurance products through financial advisors and independent agents.

The Impact
In this role you help advisors highlight various product offerings/solutions by running product illustration and take inbound inquiries from our distribution partners and advisors on products, sales designs/concepts, and product positioning. You communicate with your Internal Wholesaler colleagues to stay apprised of market trends and industry knowledge. You acknowledge, review, and respond to email inquiries in partnership with the Internal Wholesaler for the customer’s territory to review and respond. As you grow in this role you gain knowledge of life insurance products, riders, concepts, and sales designs through partnerships within the Internal Wholesaling group.
The Minimum Qualifications
Highschool Diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of customer service or sales experience
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (especially Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint)
The Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 1 year experience in the financial services/insurance industry
1 years of sales support or direct selling experience (with quotas)
Customer relationship management experience
Interest in learning the insurance industry, especially life insurance
