Job Description:
In this position you will represent TRIO in a positive, professional manner and act and speak in a positive way about our team, work, and guests. You will work closely with the TRIO Podcast Apprentice to train them on the process used to create and manage the TRIO Podcast. You will train the TRIO Podcast Apprentice.
Defined learning objectives/goals:
As stated in the TRIO grant, there will be a focus on themes related to the TRIO grant's requirement "to development productive, inclusive oriented citizens of our world."
The TRIO Podcast Collaborator will engage in thought processes and analysis on what it means to be a citizen of not just their own regional communities but of the world through specific themes related to Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) thus fostering students' understanding and leadership in global citizenship.
Job Requirements:
Tasks you will perform while training the TRIO Podcast Apprentice concerning procedure and best practices:
Writing scripts, outlines, type show notes
Planning episodes, guest research, scheduling, and interviewing
Publishing to various podcast platforms
Recording, editing, and contributing to the development of the podcast content
Performing audio engineering tasks such as tuning, mixing, and leveling the audio
Tailoring, adapting, and editing content
Performing other tasks as needed to further the success of the TRIO Podcast
The ideal candidate for this position will have these qualities and skills:
Experience working with diverse populations
Ability to train new employee(s) on using equipment and software
Commitment to fostering a welcoming environment
Excellent verbal and written communication
Detail-oriented
Ability to adhere to confidentiality policies
Ability to demonstrate new technology
Additional Information:
This position is open only to students currently enrolled at MCLA.
