DI Administrative Supervisor: This 1.0FTE/Full-time position is scheduled to work 8-HR day shifts Monday-Friday. Paid Time Off, accrue up to 8 hours of PTO per bi-weekly pay period Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Mental Health # Wellness resources Tuition Assistance Program Optional or elective benefits include: Flexible Spending Account Short # Long term disability insurance # Job Summary: The DI Administrative Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day operations, department schedule and workflows of Diagnostic Imaging performed at Mason Health with emphasis to staff resource allocation and patient scheduling. The DI Admin. Supervisor is responsible for supervising the non-technical assigned staff and directing and performing work functions for DI to ensure consistent delivery of quality patient-centered care and efficient operations.##The DI Admin. Supervisor will be the point person for other departments connected to the DI, as it relates to the process of Scheduling/referrals (including insurance knowledge), Informatics (Electronic Medical Record related items) and the billing office (CPT code management). # Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1.#Assists the DI Director with department operations such as screening candidates, training, scheduling, approving payroll / timecards, and providing input on performance appraisals of all DI staff.##Participates in hiring, counseling and management of scheduling/administrative (non-technical) staff. 2.#Demonstrates effective problem-solving techniques to resolve internal and external customer concerns or workflow issues. Works with the DI Director and collaborates with stakeholders on establishing safe and effective workflows. 3.#Prepares, maintains, and updates department policies # procedures to ensure accuracy, reference tools for staff and comply with accreditation and regulatory standards. 4.#Ensures efficient EMR processes and works with clinical informatics to improve workflows. 5.#Maintains competency of new and current staff through developing, implementing, and monitoring training programs. 6.#Manage referrals in DI:##ensure efficient and accurate scheduling, assist with DI scheduling processes and communications with other departments as it relates to DI scheduling 7.##CPT code management, chargemaster maintenance, charge reconciliation, insurance authorization as they relate to DI scheduling, etc. 8.#Oversees new order creation, billing issues and other EMR related services needed for DI 9.#Acts as a customer service representative (internal and external) to other hospital departments, clinics and local businesses for all scheduling and EMR related activities. 10.#Works in conjunctions with the Billing Office, Health Information Management department and Clinical Informatics to assist with DI billing, chargemaster accuracy, and reconciliation of DI invoices, etc. 11.#Maintains DI department staff schedule and timekeeping: handling vacation requests, posting of monthly schedules and any other ongoing staff scheduling needs, reviewing and appropriate editing of schedules and timecards and assisting with other issues. 12.#Support management and storing of DI Standard Operating Procedures, Department protocols, Policy updates and creation, Safety Zone research and responses, etc. 13.#Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned. # Organizational Responsibilities: In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, all employees are expected to support the Mason Health mission, vision and values; comply with District policies and procedures; and conduct themselves in an ethical, professional, respectful, and collaborative manner at all times. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and federal, state and local laws. # Required Education and Experience: 1.#Associates Degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or related field required, or a combination of education and experience may substitute. Bachelor#s degree preferred. 2.#Required 3-5 years of experience in EMR use and management in a healthcare setting (HIM, Registration, or DI scheduling). a.#It is preferred this experience was in a Lead or higher capacity b.#Preferred 2 years# experience with Scheduling and Referrals in Hospital setting # Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: 1.#Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 180 days of hire. #
