Mary's Little Lambs Child Care Center is seeking child care teacher assistants to join our team in our infant/toddler/preschool classrooms. Ideal candidates have experience in early childhood education and a nurturing personality to help provide a safe and stimulating environment for children.

Responsibilities:

• Regular and predictable attendance as scheduled
• Follow OCFS regulations; maintain classroom ratios to ensure a safe and supportive care and learning environment for young children.
• Assist in supervising and engaging children in developmentally appropriate educational activities.
• Help teachers with daily routines, lesson planning, gross motor activities, free play, art, mealtimes, diaper changes and toileting, classroom and center maintenance, and positive role modeling.
• Foster positive relationships with children, their families, and co-workers.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or, CDA; or, some college / degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Previous experience in childcare, classroom, or nannying roles.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.

Must be able to pass all required clearances and background checks required by NYSOCFS for working with young children, as well as a current (within 1 year) report of medical exam, and TB test.
