We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic therapy team on a Full-Time basis (Mon-Fri 8a-5p). The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality patient care, possess excellent communication skills, and collaborate effectively with our team of healthcare professionals. Majority of clients being treated in the clinic are intellectually disabled or have other neurological disorders.Responsibilities: Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the implementation of patient treatment plans.Work closely with patients to execute therapeutic exercises and activities as prescribed by the treating therapist.Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions, reporting any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.Instruct and educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to be performed at home.Assign specific exercises for the patient and help the patients do these exercises.Use devices, such as walkers, and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.Use a variety of techniques, including stretching exercises and massage, to treat patients.Assist patients when moving to and from the therapy area.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant documentation.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.Provide support in maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment.Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy techniques and technologies.Demonstrate safe and effective guarding techniques for patients with poor balance who are at risk for falls throughout therapy sessions.Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.CPR certification.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills.Compassionate and patient-focused approach to healthcare.Experience: Previous experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.Working Hours: Full-time position, (Monday-Friday) 8 Hours per day. Hours 8am-5pm. Flexible scheduling may be available.
