HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR I

Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area is searching for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator. With a 50 year foundation, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

SCOPE

Provide office and administrative support to team. This role is vital for the smooth-running of a business. Responsible for assisting with a wide range of duties, including, recruiting and staffing, performance and training, administering offers and organizing initial start for employees. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing. Data entry and routine report generation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, refine and implement new hire onboarding process
  • Order background checks, track completion and assist in review and analysis of results
  • Order pre-clearance reports for registered representatives
  • Act as point of contact for collection of pre-employment documents and contracts and obtain proper signatures on upfront loans
  • Perform and track onboarding data entry into SuccessFactors system and Excel
  • Connect with managers to assist with onboarding, orientation, IT requisition, and supply orders
  • Conduct new hire orientation and facility tours
  • Prepare and send welcome materials to all new hires
  • Compile, maintain and audit employee folders
  • Enroll and manage records for new hire training
  • Create and prepare onboarding and recruiting reports and policies; including management committee reporting
  • Update all onboarding and recruiting forms to be compliant with state and federal laws
  • Create innovative procedures to boost engagement among our existing employees and new hires
  • Participate in on-campus recruiting events ,including attending all career fairs where light travel is required
  • Manage college internship program, and rotational entry level program
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university required, preferably with an emphasis in Human Resources, Communication, or similar focus preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in HR, recruiting or onboarding capacity required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across various levels and departments
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
  • Experience working with SuccessFactors highly desirable
