Summary:

Solution Architect - Cloud

What will you do?

• They lead architectural design sessions, develop proof of concepts/pilots, implement projects, and deliver ongoing refinement and enhancement. They work with the Director of Platforms and Networking to own the overall technical relationship.
• They manage an organization's cloud computing ecosystem. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining an organization's cloud architecture, which includes servers, storage, and other areas of IT. Solution architect should have a degree in computer science, IT, or a related discipline, as well as knowledge of cloud computing, server hardware, OpenStack, and the integration of tools. They should also have soft skills and a deep understanding of cloud computing and its application in the enterprise infrastructure.

Planning:

· Assessing the organization's current resources, identifying any changes that may be needed, and making recommendations.

Design:

· Creating software solutions that fit within existing systems infrastructure.

Implementation:

· Maintaining and upgrading software, hardware, and networks as needed

Documentation :

· Documenting infrastructure design, configurations, processes, and issues to monitor and track the status and health of IT infrastructure.

Skills: cloud architects might need to perform their tasks effectively including:

• Excellent communication

• Expertise in networking concepts, cloud computing, and principles

• Knowledge of cloud platforms like SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
