Overview of Project:
Engagement with Johnson Controls to provide a M&A Infrastructure Project Manager to support infrastructure services for the
duration of the term. Supplier will provide one qualified resource to perform Infrastructure Services such as; identification of Day
1 projects, meeting with service owners to develop separation approach and plans for Day 1, support post close TSA Exit Plans to
separate JCI comingled infrastructure and standalone infrastructure, collaborating with project managers and business analysts
assigned to the Infrastructure Tower, collaborate and plan with IT deal team leads.
Timeline:
This work is for approximately 6 months from the start date with the potential for extensions up to 18 months.
Deliverables include:
1. Manage, update, and maintain weekly status reports provided by JCI with the list of activities and/or infrastructure
based on research required to be completed as per direction from JCI with the required level of detail
2. Collaborate with Asset Management and Field IT to build and verify the asset inventory of servers, PCs, mobile
devices, network equipment, printers, phones etc.
3. Identify and manage Day 1 projects to support IAM, Service desk, Hosting, Asset Management, Collaboration,
Network, etc.
4. Identify and document requirements for Day 1 remediation work. Collaborate with internal tech teams and 3rd party
SI's to develop Statements of Work to include scope, time and cost of effort required. Work with VMO-GO for
budgetary spend approvals and PO creation.
5. Understand and support the terms and conditions of the IT TSA and the Post Close Governance as it pertains to
infrastructure support and separation management
6. Manage TSA Exit projects to support exiting the TSA in timely manner.
7. Schedule and co-ordinate internal and external meetings and status review meetings to manage program and project
schedule and progress
Requirements:
* 3-5 years of experience with infrastructure technology including project management across various technologies
and environments including - O365, Identity and access management, Active Directory and trust relationships,
SDWAN/WAN/LAN/WLAN, end user compute, data center hosting and migration, VMWare - Vmotion / HyperV,
Service Desk swivel chair structures, asset management and cyber security.
* Experience with large infrastructure programs preferably related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures
* Experience with SharePoint and Teams required
* Experience with Excel data analytics
* Thought leader who leverages their depth and breadth of experiences and knowledge to guides team members
and effectively collaborates to achieve successful outcomes
* Researches and recommends priorities, resolves tower level issues and escalates as needed
* Must be able to use problem-solving/critical thinking skills, and independent thinking to overcome challenges
* Effective communication with project team members, key stakeholders and sponsors
* Must be self-motivated and able to work with ambiguity and aggressive timelines
* Coordinate, support, and liaise between Johnson Controls Merger & Acquisition (M&A), Service Owner community
and 3rd party vendors as needed
Assumptions:
* Resources to be experienced with M&A activities and requirements, including ability to drive application programs
throughout deal lifecycle
* Resources must be familiar with various infrastructure technologies
* Resource will report to IT Deal Lead and must be able to manage a team of project managers
* Resources will work the entire duration remotely.
* Any Travel and travel related expenses should be in accordance with JCI expense and Travel policy and must be
pre-approved by JCI
* Any overtime rate not to exceed Max rate listed and requires pre-approval by JC
