As a key member of Marmon's Transportation Group HR team, the Talent Management & Development Specialist provides valued support for Marmon's talent and succession initiatives. Acts as the talent management / organizational development business partner, advisor and facilitator by actively driving the planning and administration of talent management, leadership development and team effectiveness programs and practices. Reporting to the Group Vice President of Human Resources, the incumbent in this role will serve as a subject matter expert on Marmon's various talent, learning, and development processes and systems.
Position Responsibilities
  • Employee Development:
    • Coordinate with Corporate Training & Development team, Group HR leadership and field HR to support roll out, execution and tracking of training initiatives such as Leadership Essentials Program, Targeted Selection, Front Line-Leaders, LinkedIn Learning, MPower Learning, Lean Training ect.
    • Assist with sharing Learning Paths and Competencies for various roles.
    • Partner with Talent & Development function and group HR leaders to develop, pilot, and sustain additional Leadership Development programs and initiatives.
    • Talent Succession Program:
    • Facilitate Talent Review sessions.
    • Execute and support rollout and maintain succession planning records, including development plans and readiness levels for Group and Company leadership programs.
    • Partner with HRIS Team and Group HR Systems Analyst to work to automate the process.
    • Mentor Program:
    • Partner with Group VP of HR and HR Leadership teams to support roll out, matching and tracking of Group Mentor Program and Company Mentor Programs.
    • College Relations:
    • Assist VP, Group VP of HR with building and sustaining relationships with various colleges & universities in Marmon's college relations program.
      • Engage with Group field HR and companies to support internship needs.
      • Identify opportunities to facilitate classroom presentations.
    • DEI
    • Assist and support Group's engagement with DEI and Employee Resource Groups.
Qualifications and Competencies
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field with 3 years of experience in HR-related functions that includes management/leadership development and talent review.
    • Demonstrated orientation to understanding the business and business strategy, and the ability to apply talent management process and tools to support strategic business objectives
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications
    • Experience using HRIS platform(s); Workday experience a plus
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
    • Excellent time management, critical thinking, and decision-making skills with a bias toward action
    • Ability to navigate ambiguity and confidently create appropriate solutions in uncertain situations
    • Impeccable commitment to acting with integrity and engaging in ethical conduct, without exception, to foster and maintain trusted relationships across the organization
    • Remote Hybrid work location
