We only provide clean polish services--no acrylics!Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBILITIESWe're looking for an amazing Flagship Studio Director to help launch the Marlowe brand at its flagship location in Berkeley. We're searching for experienced, fun, creative types who are entirely focused on making sure clients have the most amazing time. This is a full-time position with excellent compensation and benefits for a candidate looking to grow with, and make a huge impact on, our fast-growing beauty services company (and help us chip away at that tired, old nail industry)! We're planning an aggressive regional rollout, so there's tremendous growth opportunity for our Flagship Studio Director. This position reports directly to Marlowe's CEO.The Flagship Studio Director oversees all operations of our flagship studio, ensures outstanding client experiences, and develops our team to deliver industry-leading customer service. Specifically, our Flagship Studio Director must:Recruit, hire, train, and direct a full staff (including initial 1-2 weeks of in-depth team training)Host weekly staff meetings to provide staff training and developmentEnsure Marlowe staff provides the highest level of client service in the industryOversee the utmost cleanliness of our busy facilityIndependently open, set up, and close the salon for the dayAssist in creative marketing effortsQualifications* 2 years managerial experience in a service industry (i.e., beauty, foodservice, hospitality, or retail)* Prior experience in a spa/beauty salon preferred, but not required* Experience recruiting, hiring, training, and directing staff* Experience handling administrative tasks, including, but not limited to: payroll, scheduling, inventory, and reporting* A passion for people, and a high level of enthusiasm and ambition* Strong organizational, planning, and computer skills.
