Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to fulfill the role of Shop Assistant within our dynamic team. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our shop's operations, especially concerning automotive repairs. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless repair process for our customers, from initial contact through to the completion of service.

Responsibilities:

- Answer calls and effectively communicate with customers, providing a high level of customer service.

- Conduct estimates for bodywork and mechanical repairs as required, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.

- Order parts necessary for repairs and verify their accuracy upon delivery to ensure compatibility and quality.

- Proactively follow up with customers, insurance companies, and warranty providers to ensure a smooth and timely repair process.

- Collaborate closely with technicians to address customer concerns and assist in the diagnosis and repair of vehicles.

- Provide support to technicians during repair works, contributing to a team-oriented work environment.

- Coordinate the pickup and drop-off of customers, parts, or vehicles, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.

- Prepare vehicles for customer collection, ensuring they meet our high standards of service and quality.

- Liaise with insurance adjusters to facilitate vehicle inspections and approve repairs, ensuring all parties are informed and agreements are met.

Qualifications:

- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Basic mechanical knowledge, with an eagerness to learn and assist in various aspects of automotive repair.

- Experience in customer service, particularly in a role involving detailed communication and coordination.

- Ability to work effectively in a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.

- A valid driver’s license, with the ability to safely transport customers or vehicles as needed.
