Mark VII Equipment is Hiring an Electrical Engineer Near Arvada, CO

Description

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for driving the design of electrical communications, power, and integration systems as well as assisting the R&D Engineering Department in all aspects of design. This individual will have extensive knowledge of Electrical Codes with respect to the design of Motor Control Centers, preparing all documentation for production of such designs. The Electrical Engineer will also maintain our ETL/UL status and provide assistance with ETL inspections, code recommendations, and best-practices for implementation of new equipment. 

Requirements

  • Work with an international team of Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers
  • Provide ETL/UL expertise for the design and development of products according to relevant international codes
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of commonly used concepts and practices within the electro-mechanical industry
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of user requirements and electrical systems
  • Analyze, design, and develop automated commercial equipment and systems
  • Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings using CAD and electrical planning packages
  • Develop and or modify existing systems by analyzing and identifying potential improvements
  • Create technical specifications and write operations documentation
  • Provide technical support by responding to questions, making suggestions, and analyzing equipment
  • Other duties assigned by management

Technical Competence Requirements

  • Extensive ETL/UL experience is a must
  • Significant electrical panel layout knowledge
  • National Electrical Code knowledge
  • Electrical Schematic Layout Software experience (EPLAN preferred)
  • 508a Panel Shop experience
  • Understanding of PLC logic and languages (Ladder, Structured Text)
  • Strong analytical and mathematics skills
  • Ability to write technical and end user documentation

Technical Competence “good to have”

  • RLL and C/C programming familiarity
  • Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems
  • Solid Modeling experience (Solid Edge preferred)
  • Competency with electronics troubleshooting and design
  • Understanding of microcontroller hardware

Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering 
  • 3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in a hands-on design and manufacturing environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Communication/Language Skills 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents
