Marion Polk Schools Credit Union is Hiring a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR) Near Salem, OR

Description

Maps Insurance seeks a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR) to provide new and existing customers with detailed, consistent, and accurate information about their policies. This position performs tasks such as taking applications for new customers, servicing existing customers, and assisting in the development of new sales opportunities. 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Consistently provide top-tier, high-level customer service to new and existing customers.
  2. Professionally answer and screen all telephone calls to handle any service tasks needed. Respond to questions from insureds and initiate and follow-up with customers and carriers to sell or resolve problems, answer questions, and monitor correspondence and reports.
  3. Handle basic billing questions (where to pay, who to pay, what to pay) and refer higher-level questions to the insurance producer. Take information for payments by telephone and in person, answer questions about account status, provide payoff information, and assist the insured in understanding premium finance. 
  4. Document all conversations and interactions with customers, carriers, and producers in AMS360.
  5. Quickly send Auto ID cards and handle mortgagee requests.
  6. Prepare, process, review, and monitor various documents such as premiums, coverage of risk, policies, renewals, claims, applications, changes, endorsements, binders, contracts, etc.
  7. Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and recommend coverages based on customer needs and sales of appropriate coverages. 
  8. Assist customers and arrange payment terms in accordance with established guidelines while performing in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions and preserve the integrity of the business reputation, as well as our client relationships. 
  9. Contact clients/insureds regarding late policy payments via phone, email and/or mail in order to collect on delinquent accounts.
  10. Create and maintain computer files and suspense for follow-up items. 
  11. Attend continuing education classes or educational activities to stay up-to-date on the latest developments, trends, and regulations, in the marketplace. 
  12. Follow regulatory and policy compliance requirements, which include those efforts in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, Identity Theft Red Flags and other compliance-related policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of administrative and customer service experience
  • Data entry experience
  • Oregon Property and Casualty License (If not currently licensed, you must be able to obtain this license within 90 days of hire. Maps will pay for the training and support the achievement of this license.)
  • Must be bondable

Preferred:

  • Insurance industry experience
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish, a plus
  • Knowledge in AMS360, a plus

Starting Non-Exempt Pay Range: $19.54 – $24.42 per hour, plus agency profit share.

Typical Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
