Responsibilities

About This Position

In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy the Office Assistant greets all visitors to MECC whether in person or via the telephone.

Provides clerical support for MECC Administration. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimal clerical / customer relations position experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

• Minimal clerical / customer relations position experience.
• Must type accurately and be familiar with the use of basic personal computer system
• Excellent communication skills and maintains effective public relations with department clientele.
• Ability to be an effective team member.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use a variety of office equipment - facsimile machines telephones copy machines computers.
• Works independently and performs a variety of assignments.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience preferably in a medical background.
• Word 97 computer experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
